I have been thinking about getting a 847 because of the vhf,uhf. I was
holding off on the 736R because I thought (as it is) on the way out. But
I have a friend that has one and likes it. have you heard if 1.2 will be
added as an upgrade/mod for Sat work in the future? I know that some
work is on 1.2. Got any input on getting 736 or 847 if at some point I
get a FT-1000. I live in the hills so sat work on vhf/uhf is OK,
repeater use is bad.
