I originally had trouble with my DVS and thot it sounded pretty poor.
After installing Yeasu's mod; however, it is significantly better and now I
can use it throughout a contest w/o my ears being offended. The mod has
been published here and is available by FAX, etc. from Yaesu. HOWEVER,
this is a very complicated (read difficult) repair. Those not comfortable
with cutting traces and soldering where there's no room might be better
sending their unit to Yaesu.
