Yaesu has a series of HF radios that use the same basic design. The
FT-900 now being the flagship of the lot. These radios are all
physically the same size. The easiest way to check size is look
which mobile bracket it used. You will find several readios all
use the MMB-20 bracket.
This design has been around for many years. The most popular
of the lot being the FT-890. It's a stable, bug free, system with
filter selection being the only question.
You will have to deside if you want a stable design, that's been
around a few years. Or risk a more modern system that may
be untried. Good luck with your decision.
