Anyone else like me? -- drooling over the new FT-847 and scrounging for info?
Great news! According to the Anaheim HRO Web site, the FT-847 has been
type-accepted by the FCC. Availability is now set for "early March". One
other piece of information has become public: the wide-receive range for
this rig. A feature list posted at the Web site provides the following...
100 kHz - 30 MHz
36 MHz - 76 MHz
110 MHz - 174 MHz
420 MHz - 512 MHz
See for yourself at http://www.dxer.com/hamstore/product.html
BTW, thanks to all those friendly individuals on this list who came to my
aid when attempting to interface an old SB-220 to my FT-890. It's working
great!
The FT-890/AT will be for sale soon -- when the FT-847 is on the market.
Make me an offer... I'll be selling low to move it fast. :) 73 to all.
