Hello
I don't know the radiolink from AEA. I only give some information about CAT
commands with different type of transceivers.
You must distinguish "data to send" or CAT command and "data to receive".
All the Yaesu transceivers FT-990/890/840/900/1000MP/1000D/1000 are using
the same CAT commands (data to send). There is some difference about the
filter selection between FT990/1000D - FT840/890/900 - FT1000MD/FT1000D and
of course in the frequency settings with the sub vfo of the FT1000MP or
FT1000D. The FT-920 is very complicated because it is necessary to download
first the configuration flags to know what VFO is in use...
BUT!!!! Warning : concerning the data to receive all theses transceivers
are different.
You have the folowing groups of similar transceivers :
1) FT990
2) FT840/890/900
3) FT1000MP
4) FT920
5) FT1000D
There is an another complication : early firmwares version of FT990/890 and
the FT1000 (to distinguish from the FT1000D)
are still different ! they return all the memory content on each UPDATE
command. So a such transceiver is not able to work properly with a CAT
software except in a manual configuration.
I hope these considerations helpfull - you may download a free software for
MS-DOS : Soft990. This software was written to run with the
FT990/890/840/900/920/1000MP and in test with the FT1000D at :

This software includes a terminal module.
