Has anyone had negative comments about the quality of QSK using the FT-890?
I was told that my dots were clipping at 25-30 WPM. I listened to my signal
on a different receiver, and sure enough, the clipping was very bad. With a
scope, I then looked at my dots using both QSK and non-QSK. I found that
when using QSK, my dots were one third less than the length of dots using
non-QSK. The CW sounds great when not using QSK.
I tried changing the weighting, using my CMOS-III keyer, and it does help,
but it sure does change the "feel" of the CW, and not to the good.
I wonder if others have had this problem?
