My suggestion is to sell the FT-990. Several people I know who have owned
them have had problems. I have an FT-1000 and love the radio but be
advised that the Molex style connector which feeds Vcc to the final PA is
too light for any serious RTTY work. I recently ordered an FT-920 which
should arrive soon. I'll pass along my impressions later. I intend for it
to be used with transverters. W8KX
