Does any know how the automatic tuner in the FT-990/FT-1000 works? I read that there are 39 memories and tuning positions, but I don't know if there are distributed by band or are all used on only the bands of operation. Also, does the tuner interpolate settings between the memorized positions or just use the settings for the nearest stored frequency? I'm just starting to use the auto in my FT-990 and curious about this. Thanks! -Dave Kynor WA2JEI Hartland, VT |
