You get that message because of some kind of problem with WriteLog's
program named "WlSound.exe". That program you only see in the Windows
Task Manager and if you get the above error, you need to use Task
Manager to find it under the "Details" column (sort alphabetically and
go to the W's) then Right mouse click and "End Task".

If a remote is connected at the time you do the above, only "bad stuff"
will happen.

Another hint: when getting set up for remote control, turn OFF the audio
"Exclusive" check boxes both at the remote site (under WriteLog's menu
Setup/Options/Sound and then the "Sound board Mixer") and at the Control
Site (on the login page that asks your password, etc, on the lower
right.) Why? because audio Exclusive mode is a latency optimization that
you can do without, and because not all sound boards do a good job of
supporting it. As far as I know, they MUST support the API (because
Microsoft's driver certification and architecture demand it) but it
doesn't always work very well. Sometimes it causes programs to
hang...which might be why you have to kill WlSound.exe.
