It is not necessary to re-number. Sorted by date & time is all there is.
The only problem would be in contests where there is a Serial #.

I used two logging programs during the ARRL June VHF QSO Party. Most
of the FT4/FT8 QSOs are in WriteLog, many of the CW/SSB QSOs are in
another logging program.
I was able to successfully export then import the CW/SSB QSOs in ADIF
format, but those QSOs seem to be appended to the end of the original
WriteLog log. How do I put the log back in chronological order?
Saving the log and opening it again didn't do it.
I don't want to re-invent the wheel.
