Dan,
I made the same mistake myself a couple of days ago, but caught myself
after only about 50 entries in the log. I tried doing a block edit
from within WriteLog, but that apparently isn't possible so I manually
entered my call in the Operator column for those 50 entries. Wouldn't
want to do it with 130 entries though.
My recommended solution would be the following;
1. Go to http://www.k8ut.com/file-gallery/programs and download
Larry's excellent ADIF2CSV file converter program.
2. Run the ADIF2CSV converter to convert your WriteLog adi file into a
csv file.
3. Load the converted csv file into Excel and add a new column titled
OPERATOR.
4. Enter your call into the first line of the OPERATOR field and copy
and paste it into all the other record rows.
5. Do a Save As and save the file as a .txt file.
6. Now go to http://sp7dqr.pl/en/converters.php and download Marek's
TEXT2ADIF converter and use this utility to get you back to a adi file.

Subject: How to Add [OPERATOR] and populate it after the fact
In the RST Special Event, I wanted to add the Operator (KL1JP) to my ADIF
export file (after I logged 130 entries). I can easily (and did) add
[OPERATOR] field to the working fields within my writelog RST-KL1JP.wri
logging file after the event but how can I populate my call to all 130+
entries in the Field without typing each one in. Granted, this is "after
the fact - fix it issue"... If I add the KL1JP to the first entry
within the
.wri file and I export it, then only that first field in the ADIF
contains
the entry as KL1JP as OPERATOR. The remaining ADIF entries (129) do not
contain the ADIF entry OPERATOR nor my call. If I added the OPERATOR
field
beforehand, it might have been easier but how can I fix this? . I don't
see a SQL database command manner to add my call. Tips, suggestions,
comments appreciated.
