hey Gary, device manager in WIN 7 says under Ports: ELTIMA Virtual
Serial Port (COM3) is working properly. MicroHam router shows Com3
assigned to CAT from ft2000d showing the correct freq read out and mode
from the rig, but also says closed. Doing the normal setup from PORTS
drop down menu in V12.. I put in for COM3 Ft2000 and 4800, click on
apply and message pops up com3 is not available. This worked fine in
V11. I am at a loss as to what to do or look at now. Only signal on 10
right now is Kh6LC... kinda lonely! In INI file CommSlot1=1 and so on
down to 4.... RIGS shows Com3:=4800,n,8,2 ... You would think that
this would be simple to sort out but I am out of ideas! To get thru the
contest I just set the freq to show 28000... guess that will have to
do. Hope you get some openings up there! Cort

hey Gary, thanks for the help.... I already have V12 help printed out
local printer did for me.... but problem today is when i open the
PORTS from the drop down menu it shows the 4 ports 1-4... I select 3

3 is not available.. try to save and open again and all is gone. My
microHam router shows cat=com3, reads mode and freq correctly(will
change as move the dial) but says port is closed. In INI file shows
under RIGS Com3=4800,n,8,2. Under PORTS in INI shows
Comm3RigManager=(D0DE9422-0517-11D4-9D1B-00105AA43DDF) ,
Comm3XmitControl=ALWAYS
any thoughts? router sees rig but nothing working with writelog, Cort
