I worked the entire WPX without the insert key working as it should. It
will send the message but will not send the callsign.. I have to click
on the highlighted callsign and that puts it in the callsign field and
then send. It was not that bad but it did slow me down and it is not my
normal procedure. I would like to have it as it should be.

Gary, this is the situation:
When is it you are pressing the Insert key? Is is to capture a highlighted
call from the Rttyrite window, populate the CALL field and then send your
exchange? YES
I am using 2Tone and it is highlighting the call sign, but insert will sent the
exchange but will not put the call in the window, thus no callsign is sent.
Very confusing and frustrating.
Thanks Gary hope we can get this corrected.

Nick,
I'm not sure on this one, but...
Are you using 2Tone for TX as well as RX? If so I think the Insert key
functionality to send the Call + Exchange may only work correctly in a MMTTY
window. I can't prove it at the moment as my MMTTY window under V12 has
stopped highlighting calls in the MMTTY window. Without the highlighting
the Insert key won't function at all! Both my 2Tone clone windows will
highlight calls and I can populate the CALL field with a left mouse click,
but then must use the Enter key to send the Call + exchange. Also this
morning with the "Minor Radio Blackout" conditions I am unable to hear any
RTTY signals so I can't play around with making changes to see if they work.
You might try opening up a MMTTY window and use that as your TX window
instead of 2Tone to see if the Insert key functionality returns or not.

Nick,
I just fixed my problem with no highlighting in the MMTTY screen! When I
started WL the Rttyrite window opened and I could finally hear a single call
FW5FF. It would print the call ok, but no highlighting yet. Then I
remembered that the Makrothen contest module exhibits this same behavior
from time to time and the fix there is to close Rttyrite and then
immediately reopen it. So I closed my Rttyrite window and then reopened it,
but this time I used the RTTY icon in the top toolbar rather than the
Windows/RTTY Window menu selection. Not sure if that made a difference or
not, but when the Rttyrite window reopened I suddenly was getting
highlighting of calls. Most of them I can't hear, but when FW5FF sends a
call with his exchange that call highlights.
So now that I have highlighting functioning again I can confirm that the
Insert key works as before. Press Insert and the call populates the CALL
field and the exchange is sent, including that call. Again, this is from a
window running MMTTY as the TX window, not 2Tone.

Subject: [WriteLog] Problems with V12 in WPX
Message-ID: <6293120895574F06AC5E5439B438B855@DESKTOPD0V483N>
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8"
I?ve discovered a couple of problems while working the WPX RTTY contest with WL
V12. I don?t think these are problems with the WPX contest module, but may be
bugs in the V12 woodwork.
First, in the old V11 I could enter a number between 0 to 360 in the CALL field
then hit Enter and my Alpha-Spid would start turning to that beam heading.
Under V12 the same action results in nothing happening. I did discover that
because I have a keyboard shortcut key set up to turn the rotor that the
shortcut key would turn the rotor as before. I just can?t get the Enter key to
recognize a number in the CALL field and respond to it.
Second, this one really has me perplexed. I have the F10 key macro setup to send
my exchange when I am working S&P. The macro is ?%R%C TU 599 %3 %3 %E?. When
I press the F10 key the message is sent with no problem, BUT the cursor immediately
disappears from the NUMB field in the Entry window and no longer shows anywhere. I
finally noticed that in the menu tool bar that the File choice is now highlighted.
If I press Enter, instead of logging the call just worked, the list of available
options under the File menu item opens for me to make a selection there!
So when I?m working S&P I click on the call in Rttyrite to put it in the CALL
field, then hit Space to move the cursor to the NUMB field. Now I hit F11 which
sends my call twice. When the station calls me back and sends his exchange I click
on his number and press F10 to send my exchange. Immediately the cursor disappears
and the File option is highlighted. The F10 message sends ok, but now I must click
in the NUMB field with the mouse to make the cursor reappear so that I can press
Enter and log the QSO. I have checked multiple things to no avail. The keyboard
short cut for F10 is just Message 10. I completely wiped out the F10 macro and
retyped it thinking that there might be an imbedded hidden control character in
there somewhere, but even after typing in the macro again the behavior is the same.
I?ve tried all my other F key and Shifted F key macros and the F10 key is the only
one to show this behavior. Not a show stopper, but a definite nuisance.

I had a similar experience with the cursor disappearing in CW from the
bottom call entry window in SO2R and then upon clicking the call field, the
cursor showed up in the top call entry window. I believe that was in NAQP.

Gary, on the rotor control, put the beam heading in the Entry window, but
instead of hitting the Entry Key, hit this Rotor shortcut key you setup.
