I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 a while back with no issues. Some
are reporting that their serial ports stopped working after the upgrade. The
usual fix for that has been to uninstall and reinstall the drivers. This
applies to other hardware as well.
I have a PCIe 4-port serial card and I didn't have any issues with it after
the upgrade.
Personally, I like Windows 10.
I understand you could go back to Windows 7 if Windows 10 doesn't work out
but I don't know how that's done. What I did was to use a program called
Macrium Reflect (free download) to create an image of my hard drive before I
upgraded. After I upgraded, I created another image. I keep those images,
along with backups I do once a week, on a 1 TB external hard drive. On two
occasions, something happened where my computer would not boot. I don't know
if it was a Windows 10 issue or not. On each occasion I was able to restore
my hard drive using a Macrium-create rescue disk (USB or CD/DVD) and a
recent image of my hard drive without losing any data (I keep important
things like my DXKeeper log up on Dropbox).
So if you use a program like Macrium Reflect to create an image of your hard
drive, you can always go back to Windows 7 if you wish.

Thinking of upgrading from v7 to v10.
Everything working well with v7. Anyone encountered any problems after
doing this?
If so, please render advise. Problems with files, Writelog program
operations, etc.
