I just had a query from Dave W2YC, regarding the behavior of the WL 160M
module in V11.31. He specifically wanted to know if the new change made in
V11.31 would highlight sections from the prefill file as new mults in the
160M contest or just in the SS contest. After running a quick test I can
verify that when using a prefill file the highlighting of sections as new
mults does work in the 160M module as well!
I suspect that this update will work in any WL contest module where section
is the exchange, as long as there is section information included in the
prefill file being used. This is a terrific addition to WL and I want to
thank Wayne and Steve for bringing this to us. This should encourage anyone
not currently running V11.31 to upgrade ASAP!
If this changes your mind about using a prefill file the link below in my
previous message will get you the file needed for the 160M contest.

Subject: [WriteLog] ARRL 160M CW Contest prefill file
Coming up next weekend is the ARRL 160M CW contest. The exchange between
US/VE stations is the ARRL/RAC section. I have updated my history prefill
file for this contest to include submitted logs from the years 2009 - 2014.
The file now contains 2,664 calls for US/VE stations only. DX stations do
not have to send anything except RST. Their country is derived by the
contest module from the call sign.
Please be aware that some of the VE3 calls in the prefill file predate the
breakup of ON into four sections. If one of these calls is entered the
prefill file will return ON instead of the correct current section. Be
alert when you work a VE3 and if it is wrong just replace the ON with the
new section name that you receive. The prefill file can be downloaded at
the following link:

As always be sure to verify the prefill file information with what you copy
over the air and make changes as required.

Gary AL9A
