Minor correction on my post below. The WriteLog Help document uses the term
"server" (not "master") for the PC on the LAN that all the others link to.

WriteLog Packet from PCs on the LAN via another PC on the LAN with the
Telnet connection is working for me just like it always has. Here are the
key configuration details:
1. Currently I have a 3 PC LAN. Two of the PCs each have a radio attached
and they are my primary SO2R setup. The third PC is a spare (no radio)
where I run Telnet (CC User by VE7CC) and keep a third copy of the log.
2. When I configure the WriteLog network I designate the third PC (spare)
as the "master". That is, the other two PCs link to it.
3. On this third PC I open the WriteLog Packet window and select Telnet in
the File menu, specifying 127.0.0.1 and Port 7300, which points to CC User
on that same computer.
4. On the other two PCs, I open the WriteLog Packet window and select LAN
in the File menu, specifying the name of the third PC.
Spots show up in the Packet windows and bandmaps of all three computers.
Any of the computers can issue commands to the Packet Cluster.
So, from what I can see LAN Packet is working FB. Perhaps the key is that
the Telnet PC must be the "master" on the WriteLog network. (If this term
"master" is new to you, read through the networking section of the WriteLog
Help file.)

I am sure that this is the correct answer as several responded with the same
however I am unable to get it to work. Writelog is linked on each computer
and QSO's entered on one computer show up on the other. I have VE7CC
running on one computer (named: W4AAA) with the telnet set to 127.0.01 and
spots show up in the packet window. On the other computer (named: KK9A) I
selected file, local network and typed W4AAA and I get "failed to connect to
remote node". I tried upper and lower case letters and I also tried
entering the IP address in this field and none were successful. I even
copied W4AAA from the link to network field and pasted it in the packet
local network field. I then tried reversing it, running the cluster on the
KK9A computer and connecting with the W4AAA computer and it still failed. If
it matters both computers are running XP Pro.

In the File menu of the Packet window, select Local Network and insert the
name of the WriteLog computer with VE7CC running.

I have the VE7CC cluster software on one computer and I can connect to it
using the Writelog telnet on the same computer. I have a second shack
computer that is networked, how do I connect the telnet to see these spots?
