I know some of the USB adaptors do work ok for CW keying, but it's
been a while since I had to do anything with them; time to hit the
archives.
Almost any USB to RS232 adapter (serial converter) will work fine
for CW and PTT. The real issue is using them for RTTY.
With RTTY you're generally stuck to 45.45 baud (no support for
other baud rates - if you want to do the BARTG 75 baud sprint.
for example - in software generated RTTY) or you need to find
an Edgeport unit.
