When I replaced my XP machine with a W7 laptop, the two convertors I had
made the transition with no problems. I have a USB Hub with 4 items on it -
my USB-Serial convertor for the rig control, the USB convertor for my
Rascal, a wireless mouse and a speaker bar. I plugged the hub in first -
the machine found it, installed it and told me it was ready - then I plugged
each item in - in succession and each one did the very same. The only thing
I had to do was make sure that the Port numbers assigned matched the port
numbers in the programs (ACLog, MMTTY, Airlink Express, etc.) Good luck.

Subject: [WriteLog] Windows 7 and usb
Hi Guys
I am working my way to a new computer with Windows 7. I am concerned as I
currently have 5 USB to Serial converters to make the station work. All of
these converters were the cheapest and they all worked just fine. Will I
face any grief with Windows 7 or can I expect I can get them to work? The
old XP machine is slowly grinding to a halt.
