In general, no. The USB to parallel adapters are typically "windows
print system" emulators are are not port mapped devices. The LPT
support in WriteLog and other software seems to require access to
the hardware (one of the reasons for the special drivers).

If you don't have a parallel port the solutions are generally in the
class of devices that either have some kind of special protocol support
(e.g., the microHAM Control Protocol or K1XM's O2RSP) or a band decoder
that works from the CAT data (e.g., microHAM Station Master).
Since TopTen discontinued their Icom "band voltage" based decoder, the
only commercial units that I know of for Icom "band voltage" are the
Elecraft KRC-2 and Ameritron RCS-12. Of course, one could build his
own decoder from the information published by K6XX:
