Shift-Click on the PRP will send 040 to the log.  Not a bug, you just have to 
remember the shift.

Tnx Doug.  I seem to remember there was a way to make the correct numbers 
appear, but couldn't remember if was something in MMTTY or in RittyRite. 
Too many programs, too many bugs, too many years!
