Mike,
This is not a bug.
The rules state that the serial number must be copied and/or the serial
numbers must be in order by overall log or by band.
Nothing in the rules state that a serial number in a log must start with one
and go sequentially by number to the end of the contest.
WriteLog gives you a serial number with a call so you can send it. If you
were using SO2R and had this like other logging programs, you'd have the
possibility of sending the same "unique" serial number to two different
stations and essentially break the rules.
The serial numbers are unique, in order. Just not sequential.

So, again. How to introduce this bug:
1. First of all, go Setup->Sort order & serial numbers, check "Separate by
band"
2. enter a call in the entery window
3. Press ALT+F1, ALT+F2 (change band and back again)
4. Press CTRL+W
5. enter call again and you will see, that TX number is now number "2" (not
"1")
Hot to repair this one:
go Contest->Recalculate score
OR
go Setup->Sort order & serial numbers, check "Total of all bands"
go Setup->Sort order & serial numbers, check "Separate by band"
This bug is not depends on module, what you will use, so it is in
WriteLog....
