Yes, audio review can use any specified card. With MK2R/MK2R+,
it is possible to specify the "USB Audio CODEC" (normally used
for digital modes) and route that to the operator headphones
during SSB/CW operation.
The "problem" is that WriteLog expects the recording input for
audio review to come from Line In on same sound device as is
being used for DVK. This means that Writelog cannot record the
contest with Mk2R/MK2R+ and will not be able to do so until
WlSbControl is updated to allow independent specification of
the Audio Review input.
By the way ... the problem is not unique to MK2R/MK2R+. It
effects those with sound cards that lack line inputs (many
laptops) or share the same jack for mic and Line In (several
of the Creative sound cards - SB 24, Audigy Value, X-Fi, etc.).
Since Audio Review can use a second sound card for playback,
the logical "next step" is to allow the second sound device
to also be used for recording.
