Don't place too much hope in the made in Korea - assembled in China label.
The batteries were supposedly made by Sony, but Japanese manufacturers are
also playing the outsourcing game! No telling where the Sony batteries were
produced. I just purchased a replacement battery for my Compaq Presario
laptop over the internet that was made in China. The first one wouldn't
hold a charge and it took over a month to get the replacement delivered. So
far so good, but I don't think I'll leave it unattended in the laptop!
