You can do rig control and cw keying from one serial port.
I use a Belkin F5U103. This unit is one of the few that can
also do FSK keying, if you get into RTTY in the future. They
are available on EBay "Buy it now" stores for $14, including
shipping. Search F5U103 on EBay. There is no external power
required.
