Hi Pat,
thank's for your answer. I will post this in the reflector.

Subject: Orion RIT with WriteLog
Hi Bernd,
I don't know how Wayne, W5XD implements the %O macro but I'm guessing he is
sending the string *RMR0<cr> to the Orion to set the RIT to zero offset. When
that command is sent to the Orion it actually turns RIT off. I suppose that is
the most direct way to set it to "0"! If you alter the command to show 1 Hz of
offset (*RMR1<cr>) RIT is not turned off. I think Carl, N4PY uses this scheme
in is Ten Tec rig control software. He implements a "set RIT to zero" by
actually setting it to 1 or 2 Hz offset. What's a couple of Hertz between
friends! He uses the *RMR0<cr> to actually turn RIT off. There is no RIT
On/Off command. Perhaps Wayne could do the same in WriteLog? I used
HyperTerminal to "connect" to the Orion com port to test this.
I sent this to the reflector yesterday but it hasn't appeared. I just
enrolled so perhaps I'm not authorized to post yet.

Subject: [WriteLog] writelog + Orion
Hello folks,
I use the macro %O in a buffer. Everything works at my YAESU FT-1000 very
well.
But there are problems at my Ten Tec Orion. The RIT is backed zero but the
RIT switched off simultaneously. Can switching off be prevented? Any ideas?
