I am experiencing a problem with WriteLog 10.48F and a Kenwood TS-570 connected
by serial cable, when attempting use packet spots to change the rig freq by
double-clicking on a call. This occurs when double-clicking on the call on
either the BandMap or the Packet Spot window. WriteLog will change the freq
displayed in the Freq Box of the QSO Entry window momentarily, the rig "beeps"
as it does when WriteLog changes it's freq, the BandMap displays the new freq,
but after about 1-2 seconds, it all reverts back to it's original freq...the
actual freq on the TS-570 never changes. I am able to enter a new freq in the
QSO Entry window where a call would normally be entered, hit Enter and the rig
goes to the new freq without problem so I know WriteLog is able to control the
rig.
It is almost as if there is a comm port timeout in one direction or the
other...I would guess that WriteLog is not getting some affirmation from the
rig when it commands the rig to change freq from a spot, then it reverts back
to it's original freq. I have done this with Yaesu rigs without problem so I
know this works. WriteLog is controlling the Kenwood rig on Com1, Rig type is
Kenwood, 9600 Baud, Polling checked on and Comm PTT Yes.
Anyone experienced anything similar? I would guess the TS-870 might behave
similarly.
Thanks for any help!
