Not exactly,
My 4N35's would never PTT my 940, 850 or 950, but they work perfectly
keying the CW lines. As for the split VFO, the 940 works fine. On the
850 and 950, WriteLog sets both the VFO frequencies just fine, but fails
to switch it to "split". Apparently, there is a different command to
engage the split VFO's between the 940 and the 850/950.
To get around the PTT issue, I select PTT with "Command PTT over COM
port" in the CW PTT menu or use QSK/VOX.
One of these days, I'll try to debug why Kenwood's PTT don't work
with opto-isolators.

Subject: [WriteLog] TS-850 PTT Problem
Using the W5XD MultiKeyer to drive the PTT lines on two Kenwood 850's.
This is a new unit, and the first time it has been used.
Both radios do not operate properly when the PTT is asserted. The "On
Air" led comes on, but in split, the radio does not switch to the TX
VFO. I called the YV0 a few times on his freq before I noticed the
problem. Thankfully, there were a few "kind" frequency police, who
mentioned it to me, before I noticed what was going on.
The PTT line from the radio has a pull up voltage of about 7.5 volts.
The MultiKeyer output voltage with PTT asserted is about .7V.
Perhaps my new MultiKeyer isn't saturating the PTT output switch fully.
I would expect .2-.3 volts Vce sat on a switch.
Has anyone else had this problem?
