That's almost verbatim what my pal ZD8Z said after he talked me into
getting active on HF again after 20+ years away & rejoing the NCCC he
and I helped co-found way back when :-)

I appreciate your suggestion which is what I have already done. My
initial tests with the "extension" approach are extremely exciting...for
those of us willing to undertake that added effort.

The objective, of course, is to reduce the percentage of "robotism" on an
ongoing basis.

I found the comments of K1VV in his article on the K9JY website echo part
of the motivation for my "extended" approach:

"It's not perfect-but the reduction in fatigue and enjoyment in the
contest is much better..."

I have fully launched into SO2R yet, but as I sit back an view this whole
thing from a "Big Picture" standpoint, I can't help but feel having the
ability to implement FULL automation will faciliate improved "less-stress"
SO2R receive searches for multipliers in the process. Something to
*think* about???

Wait until you hear the demos I'll be putting up on a webpage soon. I'm
confident you (and others) will find this approach will blow away the
individual alpha/numeric .wav file approach we must use now for
callsigns.

Tnx again for your comments.
