Brian:
Much safer solution. The Canadian QSO's generate State errors when imported,
but no biggie--there were a lot fewer VE QSO's than US.
I don't know why, but wl2dx4win211 was a nasty experience. After downloading
and unzipping, I ran it, and it appeared to hang. What it actually did was
to create an .adi file of almost 7 GB---then hang!!! Clearly this was
defective and when I subsequently tried to click on the bloated file, drag
it, etc., it would hang my computer. I finally moved every other file and
folder out of the Contest folder, then killed the Contest folder. Whew!
No, I have not tried it again. One does not usually re-stage a train wreck
to prove the cause if one can help it. Perhaps that program was not intended
for XP...

getting state information
I always just open the adi file with wordpad and to a search & replace
changing "QTH" to "STATE". Imports fine after that.
