Hello -

I am in the process of setting up a two computer network with one machine
running Win2K and the other running Win98.

The symptom is that one computer can link to other but the reverse is not
true. The Win2K connects and the Win98 does not. If I open logs on both
machines, entering Q's into the Win98 machine will immediately update the
Win2K machine. However, Win2K entries will not update the log on the Win98
log.

I have used the same Win98 machine with another computer running Win2K with
no problems and required no adjustments. I no longer have the machine here
so I can't compare setups, but I did load both OS's from scratch so they
can't be very different.

Also, the Win2K machine has two drives in it. The other drive runs Win98
and works just fine with the other Win98 computer so I know the cabling is
fine.

Could it be a problem with the NIC card and driver? It is different between
the two Win2k machines.

Thanks and 73,

Tom
