During Field Day a Novice station is allowed to work the same stations on all
the bands as all the other stations at a given location. This is because the
Novice station uses a different callsign. The Writelog help file states that
when networking the stations together, you need to designate the Novice station
with the letter "N" when you register it to accept network connections. Last
Year, I noticed that this function no longer worked and reported on the
reflector.
Wayne made a much appreciated last ditch fix that appeared to bring the old "N"
designator back to life to be used with the new GOTA station.
Unfortunately, the fix appears to be only a half fix.
What I have found is that with two stations networked together, one being the
GOTA station designator "N" and a regular station designator "B" that there
still exists a dupe problem.
What I found is that if the GOTA "N" station works a station first on a given
band, that if the regular station "B" works that station on the same band later
on it does not show as a dupe. Wonderful!
However, if the regular station "B" works a station on a given band first, then
if the GOTA station "N" works that station later on the same band it will
incorrectly show as a dupe. Not Good!
The GOTA station uses a different callsign from the other stations at a given
location.
Wayne, is this hard to fix? Can you once again do some magic to the
fieldday.dll file? Please...
The majority of you guys must not run a GOTA station networked to your other
stations.
Thank You and Good Luck,
Dave Rich
