[WriteLog] Writelog and mmtty hangs

This is a MMTTY problem that a lot of have experience.
I get it using MMTTY standalone and also with WRITELOG.

I can make it do it by sending a number of CQ buffers.
It doesn't matter what buffer, just that you make a lot of sequential
transmissions.

After 10 or so it stalls.
But it is erratic.
