I don't now if there is a worry about duty cycle with the new solid state rigs
along as the power supply can handle it. Several years ago, when I went
upstairs to watch tv, I kicked the PTT cable on my homebrew interface. The
rig went into xmit on 14078 with a mark tone and 100 watts output for over 2
hours while I was upstairs. This is with my TS-850S. Guess what? I did not
notice any TVI !! Didn't seem to hurt the radio but I would not recommend
this.
