Dez et al,

For everyday purposes, if you are using buffers, you could use a buffer
with %I.  %I stops the output of the buffer and waits for a keyboard response
then continues on with the rest of the buffer after the keyboard response in
entered.

For example...

%R%C UR RST %I NAME IS DEZ DE ZC4DW BK %E

This way the transmit will stop at %I and you manually type in the real
signal report and hit RETURN and the rest of the buffer will continue on
until it ends at %E.

It's pretty cool really.  I use it while SO2R and using serial numbers to send
the "next" serial number when the one loaded by WriteLog is already being
send on the other radio.
