If you're using AFSK you could just key the rig with the VOX. This has
some problems of its own, mainly with slightly erratic triggering, but a
lot of guys make it work. Just a thought, not a recommendation.
If you can do it, the best way to go is direct FSK and hardware PTT,
both from a com port (or two).
