I've started to do some of that.  Interesting exercise - since there are
lots of entries.  I may just add the ACL for the user (my club's name) to
the whole tree.

If you can figure out the registry keys for the values WriteLog is trying to
write, you can probably change the registry permission ACL to add the user
you want to run Writelog under.  I'm not sure where WriteLog stores its
stuff, but I'd use regedit and start looking under HKLM\Software and look
for something that looks like Wayne's callsign and add a discretionary ACL
for your user that permits write access to that subtree.  Try "regedit"
from a command line, navigate to the registry tree, right click the key,
choose "permissions",  and add your user with write permission to that
subkey.

You'll probably need to be an administrator to do this.
