I am not familiar with WriteLog networking. However, I am familiar with
networking. Especially, with NT / W2K for the OS.
NetBEUI is a simple, easy to configure, non-routable protocol for Microsoft
OS. TCP/IP is a protocol that is commonly used on the Internet. Microsoft
has ditched NetBEUI as its primary protocol, as if you want to use the
Internet, you better speak IP. MS still has NetBEUI and other protocols for
backwards compatibility.
Before you even worry about Writelog networking, you need to worry about
networking period. Can the two boxes see each other? IE: can you ping via
IP and hostname? Can you share files between them?
If you can?t get the ping, nothing else means a thing.

Subject: [WriteLog] WL networking via TCP/IP only
Hi OM's
I would like to network Writelog via TCP/IP not via NETBUI protocol. Both
PC's can have fixed IP and are in different local networks. Do you have any
ideas if it will work? How to make such setup?
Thank you in advance
