To completely redesign a board for a PCI slot is very expensive. Also there is no reason to thinnk that PCI is the final of the technology, in fact, now we have USB. The DXP38 was the replacement for the P38 and is in a self-contained box, also, you can take it on DXpeditions quite easily. >Interesting bit of info. Anyone know the background? I assume the >soundcard software has a lot to do with the decision. |
