Dick ... we still use PED519... run in Real DOS ...
not a DOS Window ...if you have a sound card and
run it at Difficulty Level 3 out of 9 ... in the Competition mode ..
Set at 30 WPM ... you will have several DX stations
calling you at the same time ... QRM & QSB ..
some sigs chirpy ... some watery ... some off frequency ... some
of the calls will trail off to S1 as they send their call ..
Some times they will only send their suffix ... then when
you reply " RFZ 5NN" they will send their full call ..
if you get their call wrong they will correct you ...
You can set it to run from 5 minutes to an hour ...
Best of all you a get a CQWW UBN report at the end ..
Just like being in CQWWCW ... the MASTER.DTA file can
be updated by downloading the latest from the CT web site..
Even after all these years PED is still a great CW contest
trainer ...
