I am not yet trying to set it up in WL - just in Win98se at this point.
I am about ready to throw in the towel. All I need is one sure way to set
up basic networking so these two stupid computers can talk to each other
via the ethernet cards and crossover cable I have installed. No internet
connection is involved.
I know my hardware is OK - I had it working fine yesterday and then lost it
after cleaning up a couple of things from the screen of one of the
computers. Sure is fragile. I have since re-installed Win98se on both
machines - didn't help.
Microsoft's HELP (networking troubleshooter) on my computer is a joke.
Has anyone seen a 1-2-3 procedure anywhere that works? Something with
specifics?
