Gary,
You may have received "install" diskettes with your NICs. If so, those
should have the files necessary to install your network. NetBEUI is NOT
required to network your PCs, it just happens to be an option. You'll find
that TCP/IP is a simpler, more reliable protocol to use, and there is no
technical reason why you cannot setup your network this way.
Go to your "Network Neighborhood" and click on properties. See what protocol
is bound to your network cards. You may find you already have TCP/IP there,
as it is far and away the most common.
