I would think that anything that works with the VX-1R would have the level
translation built in and would be bidirectional, so the ADMS-1E is probably
usable. All that is left is a possible change in the cable wiring/plug,
which you can check just as I did. I think RT systems in Alabama originated
the cable kit.
Hey - I just checked RT systems web site http://rtsars.com/ , and to my
surprise they list the following on their "other cables" page:
RTS-01 Computer Interface cable for Icom HF Radios $35.00
So it looks like they are selling this or a similar cable separately. Don't
know if the ham radio dealers discount it, but they probably do.
