This is not an official installation guide. It's only what I did to get
it installed on my Win95 & Win98 machines.
Download the latest version of MMTTY (1.61 or 1.16B) at
http://www.geocities.com/mmhamsoft/mmtty/index.html
Run the MMTTY161.EXE or MMTTY161B.EXE file you downloaded.
It will ask you where you want to install it. I would suggest you install
it where it wants to be installed at C:\Program Files\MMTTY. You will
need to remember where you install it because when you first run MMTTY
with WriteLog it's going to ask you.
Once MMTTY is installed, run it and get it working. Once you get it
working, go to the WriteLog website under Third Party Downloads (from
the Downloads page) and download MMTTYPluginforWritelog.Exe.
Run MMTTYPluginforWritelog.Exe (note - if you have previously
run MMTTYPluginforWritelog.Exe on your computer, running it again will
Uninstall it. This is normal. Just run MMTTYPluginforWritelog.Exe
again and it re-installs the plug-in.)
Now make sure you have the latest version of WriteLog (ver. 10.27G)
installed. If you don't, go to the Downloads page and download it.

Install this latest version of WriteLog and REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER!
(It may not be absolutely necessary to reboot your computer, but it might
save you some headaches).
Start WriteLog. If a Rttyrite windows does not start, start one by going
to the Window pull-down menu and choose RTTY Window. A Rttyrite
window will appear. Resize the Rttyrite window and the main WriteLog
window so both can be displayed at the same time on your screen (you
may want to leave extra space for the MMTTY window you will bring up next).
In the Rttyrite window, go to the TU Type pull-down menu and select
MMTTY. One of two things should occur at this point. You will either
get a Rttyrite9 error message asking you to close the program or a window
will open where you need to navigate to where MMTTY.EXE is located
(not MMTTY161.EXE, it needs to know where to find MMTTY.EXE. You
need to navigate to the folder where MMTTY.EXE resides).
The error message will most likely occur if you had already chosen a different
TU or had been using a different TU other than MMTTY. Remember, the
MMTTY plug-in is still in beta form.
If you get the error message, click Close and then reopen the Rttyrite
window. At this time a window will open up where you need to navigate
to where MMTTY.EXE is installed. Navigate to the correct folder and click OK.
If you installed MMTTY in it's default location then go to Program Files, then
click on the MMTTY folder. Once you see MMTTY.EXE displayed in the
folder, click OK.
MMTTY will now start.
