Thanks to everyone for your responses and information.
A couple sites have client/server software packages that do what I needed to
synchronize time on the local network:
AboutTime http://www.arachnoid.com/abouttime
Tardis http://www.kaska.demon.co.uk/
I have just tested both of them and they are easy to set up and use.
AboutTime is "Careware" and free for use. Tardis is Shareware. Both are
very professional packages.
