Jim,
In the writelog.ini file, you can change the comm ports to the one you want
to use in the port setup window. Add the additional ports in the .ini file
e.g. COMM5=4800,n,8,1 (make sure you set the correct values). Then find
the line COMMSLOT3=3 and change it to COMMSLOT3=5,or 6, or whatever you
have available. This will change the port number in the port setup window.
Here's the way my .ini file looks:
COM1:=4800,n,8,1,
COM2:=4800,n,8,1,
COM5:=4800,n,8,1,
COM6:=4800,n,8,1,
COM7:=9600,n,8,1,
COM8:=4800,n,8,1,
LPT1=0x378
LPT2=0x1028
LPT3=0x0
dvktype=1
dvkport=0
cwtype=2
cwport=6
dvkstoploop=1
dvkechomic=1
Comm2Baud=9600
Comm2XmitControl=ALWAYS
CommSlot3=5
CommSlot4=7
COM3:=9600,n,8,1,x
COM4:=9600,n,8,1,x
Comm7Used=USED,POLL,3
Comm7RigManager={D0DE9422-0517-11D4-9D1B-00105AA43DDF}
Comm7Baud=9600
Comm7XmitControl=ALWAYS
