John, all,
I think this is a great idea. I would not have the time to maintain it (I
have enough trouble just keeping up with the software!!), but would happily
link to your site which has a lot of good stuff on it in the first place.
Soundcards and their compatibility with software and computers will continue
to be a big growing area with lots of questions. If you can structure it in
a way that's understandable (which you do on the rest of your stuff), I
think it would be a great addition for WriteLog users.
Thanks...Scot, K9JY

Subject: [WriteLog] Proposed soundcard web site
Unless anyone knows where this has already been done, I would like to
propose a new web site that catalogs the scores received by various sound
cards after using the Writelog sound board checker.
Every time someone has to get a new computer, the questions about Writelog
and/or RITTY compatibility with a given card start all over again. Now I'm
in the same situation needing a new computer. Someone has already told me
he just got the soundboard checker and was disappointed to see his card only
got a 7b and wasn't fully functional with all of Writelog's features.
I am willing to collect the emails and make the page(s). Then K9JY and/or
Wayne/Ron could link to it if they want. Anyone like this idea? Scot? 73
