Hello all,
I've spent some time trying to figure out voice keying with WriteLog using a
RigBlaster and Kenwood TS-850. I've recorded my messages, edited them, etc.
I hooked up the dummy load and tried the msg keys. All seem to work ok.
However, when I sent a msg, I didn't get the drive like I should. I have
checked my audio properties and they're all adjusted right. I have had
several Q's on psk, and everything seems to be ok as I get good audio
reports.
The RigBlaster front panel switches are set as follows:
Right and Left Channels: Both
Auto/Vox: Auto
Level Adjustment (rear pot) is fully clockwise
Now for the interesting part....when I switch to vox, and the green LED
lights up, I get full drive to the rig. However, when I use the mic (with
or without processor in-line), I overdrive and get distorted audio.
So, is this safe to assume? Flip the switch to VOX when sending recorded
messages, and flip back to AUTO when I use the mic? I would love to hear
from any other WriteLog users who are using RigBlaster. The RigBlaster
manual is a little sketchy and there isn't much help from their website.
Scott, K9JY, mentions it briefly on his website.
TIA and 73,
Terry, WK0F
