I run an FT-990 and it supports keying via the serial port. There is a
command in the firmware to put the rig into transmit. It also works
fine with any of the other keying functions. (I run NT so LPT
functions have not been tested.) If I recall correctly, there is a
firmware revision issue with the FT-990. Don't hold me to this, but I
think it requires Rev. B.
