Tnx for all the suggestions about the flaky sound card. Volume was
OK, rig connections removed and still distorted, so figured I needed
a replacement.
Turned the computer on this morning and everything is fine! Guess
there was a glitch when the drivere loaded yesterday. HOpefully it
stays working now...
