Thanks to Marty NW0L and to John WA9ALS for their quick
responses.
So far I've not been able to do much comparison between the
DXP38 and the sound card. I do as much testing before the
contest as I can. I'm hoping the DXP38 will out-perform the sound
card since my PK232 did as well and some times better than the
sound card, believe it or not.
One thing I notice about the tuning indicator with the DXP38 is that
it appears different than the RTTY-1 indicator and harder to tune in
for some reason.
The CMOS chips for the PK232's should be at my office when I
arrive tomorrow, so I might get a 2nd & 3rd TNC going afterall if
that fixes the problems caused by the lightning strike.
